Apple CarPlay™

  1. iPhone® 5 or later, iOS® 7.1 or higher.
  2. Siri® and Apple CarPlay™ have been enabled in the settings of the iPhone® you are using.


  1. It is recommended that you install the latest iOS® version.
  2. Only those apps in the iPhone® that are supported by Apple CarPlay™ are displayed.
    For further information on the supported apps: See www.apple.com/ios/carplay.
  3. The content and functions displayed within the Apple CarPlay™ function are solely provided by the connected iPhone®.
  4. When Apple CarPlay™ is used, any active Bluetooth ® connections (e.g. for telephony, media playback or news) are automatically disconnected. Inserted SIM cards cannot be used to make phone calls during this time.
  5. Some apps require an active data connection. Additional costs may be incurred, depending on the cellphone rate plan, particularly when used in foreign countries. We recommend using a data flat rate.

Operating Apple CarPlay™ with the PCM

All available apps can be operated using the touch display, the rotary push button and the Undo button of the PCM.

Using Apple CarPlay™ with Siri® voice recognition

Activating Siri®

  1. Siri® has been enabled in the settings of the iPhone® you are using.
  2. The ignition and PCM are switched on.
  3. There are no active phone calls.
  4. ParkAssist is not active.
  5. PCM voice recognition is not active.
