Alarm System and Passenger Compartment Monitoring
The alarm system monitors the following alarm contacts:
If one of the alarm contacts is interrupted, an acoustic alarm sounds for approx. 30 seconds and the emergency flasher flashes.
The alarm is triggered again after a 5 second interval. This cycle is repeated up to ten times (country-dependent).
Switching the alarm system on/off
If you unlock the driver’s door using the emergency key, you must switch the ignition on (ignition lock position 1) within 15 seconds of opening the door in order to prevent the alarm system from being triggered. The other vehicle doors remain locked. The vehicle is locked again automatically after 30 seconds if the driver’s door is not opened.
Switching off the alarm system after the alarm has been triggered
Switching off passenger compartment monitoring system and inclination sensor
If people or animals are remaining in the locked vehicle or the vehicle is being transported on a train or ship, for example, the passenger compartment monitoring system and inclination sensor must be switched off temporarily.
The passenger compartment monitoring system and inclination sensor remain switched off if the vehicle automatically locks itself 30 seconds after being unlocked, as none of the doors have been opened.
Using the vehicle key
On vehicles with Porsche Entry & Drive
Using the rocker switch
The rocker switch to switch off the passenger compartment monitoring system is located next to the driver’s seat.
