When adaptive cruise control (ACC) is switched on, the status display B appears at the bottom left of the multifunction display.
When control is active, status display B is orange.
When control is inactive, status display B is gray.
If adaptive cruise control is switched on and no desired speed has been saved, the ACC symbol appears with no desired speed setting displayed.
If a desired speed has been stored and no vehicle has been detected ahead, the ACC symbol and desired speed setting is displayed.
If a desired speed is stored and a vehicle was detected in front, a vehicle symbol and the desired speed are displayed.

Three operating modes are possible when adaptive cruise control is switched on.
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) active
Adaptive cruise control automatically controls the driving speed and the distance from the vehicle ahead.
Status display B is orange.
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) ready
Speed and distance control is deactivated after the brakes are applied or when the control lever is pressed down (setting 3, OFF).
The desired speed setting and the selected distance are retained.
Status display B is gray.
For information about resuming speed and distance control:
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) passive
Speed and distance control are inactive after the accelerator pedal has been pressed.
A message appears on the multifunction display indicating that ACC is now in passive mode.
The desired speed setting and the selected distance are retained.
Status display B is gray.
Speed and distance control are reactivated after the accelerator pedal has been released.
