Risk of damage to the windshield due to unintentional folding back of the wiper arm.
Always hold the wiper arm securely when replacing wiper blades.
The wiper blades and wiper motor can freeze at low temperatures.
Press the button to loosen frozen wiper blades before starting to drive.
The graphite coating on the wiper blades can be damaged if they are not cleaned properly.
Do not point the cleaning jet directly at the wiper blades.
Do not clean the wiper blades using a cloth or sponge.
To clean the wiper blades, only rinse with clean water.
Caring for wiper blades
Windshield wiper blades in perfect condition are vital for ensuring a clear view.
Clean the windshield regularly using a window cleaner (Please see chapter "Cleaning windows" on page 78), especially after washing the vehicle in a car wash.
Porsche recommends car care products from Porsche Tequipment.
Clean the windshield using a sponge or cloth if it is very dirty (e.g. insect remains).
Replacing wiper blades

If the wiper blades are not changed properly, they can come loose when the car is moving.
The wiper blades must engage properly in the wiper arm.
Check that the wiper blades are seated securely.
The wiper blades should be replaced twice per year (before and after the cold season) or if wiper performance deteriorates or the wipers are damaged.
Ignition is switched off.
Press the wiper lever down once (Fig. 294, 1).
The wipers move upward through approx. 45°.
Change the wiper blades in accordance with the separate installation instructions provided by the manufacturer. Pay attention to the varying length of the wiper blades.
