  • Do not exceed the maximum speed of 30 mph (50 km/h). A vehicle should not be towed for more than 30 miles (50 km). If a vehicle needs to be towed for longer distances, it has to be transported on a transport truck or trailer.

Pulling out a vehicle that has become stuck

  • Extreme care is required when pulling out a vehicle that has become stuck.
  • Never pull out a vehicle abruptly or at an angle.
  • If possible, pull the vehicle backwards, following the track previously made.

Towing a vehicle with a trailer coupling

On vehicles with a trailer coupling, there is no threaded hole in the rear bumper.

Risk of damage to the vehicle if towing improperly.

  • If possible, use the towing hook in the front to pull out the vehicle.
  • When towing by using the trailer coupling, only use towing cables or towing bars which are designed for towing by the trailer coupling.
  • For specifications and fitting instructions, please see the separate manual from the manufacturer of the towing bar or towing cable. Observe the manufacturer’s safety and operating instructions.
  • Your authorized Porsche dealer will be pleased to advise you about the fitting towing cable or towing bar for your vehicle.
  • Always observe the permissible maximum towed weight. Never exceed the manufacturer’s specifications.
