In addition to the selectable chassis settings, the vehicle features various modes for a sportier overall setup.

The SPORT mode shifts the control systems towards greater emotionality and performance during everyday driving.

In SPORT PLUS mode, maximum performance is set for race-circuit-like driving.

  1. The engine is more responsive to throttle inputs. When Sport mode is switched on and the vehicle is traveling at a speed of less than 25 mph (40 km/h), this function is activated only after the driver has floored the accelerator pedal or released it briefly.
  2. The rpm limiter characteristic is “harder”. In other words: the engine is immediately throttled when the performance limits are reached (only in manual PDK selection mode).
  3. The dynamic cornering light (PDLS) and high beam assistant (PDLS Plus) ensure faster and more dynamic control, e.g. during cornering or when encountering oncoming traffic.

  1. Adaptive cruise control regulates speed and distance more dynamically.

  1. The PDK transmission switches to a sporty gear-changing map and shortens the shifting times.
    The gear-changing points are shifted to higher speed ranges. Upward shifts are initiated later and deceleration shifts are performed earlier.
    Gear changes take place faster.
  2. PTM (Porsche Traction Management) changes to a more dynamic map when SPORT PLUS mode is switched on.
  3. PSM (Porsche Stability Management) control is more sporty in SPORT PLUS mode. PSM interventions are later than in Normal mode. The driver can maneuver the vehicle with greater agility at its performance limits, without having to dispense with the assistance of PSM in emergency situations. This helps to achieve optimal lap times, particularly on race circuits.

  1. PTV Plus (Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus) changes to a more dynamic map when SPORT PLUS mode is switched on.

  1. PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) is automatically changed to SPORT or SPORT PLUS mode, resulting in a stiffer suspension setup.
    In SPORT PLUS mode, PASM uses air suspension and level control to additionally lower the vehicle by around 0.4 in. (10 mm) to low level.

  1. Ignition is switched on.

    The light indicator on the button lights up.
    The word “SPORT” appears on the digital speedometer.
  1. The PDK transmission switches to a sporty gear-changing map and shortens the shifting times.
  2. A sporty driving style is recognized more quickly and the gear-changing speeds are adapted to driving performance.
  3. Braking downshifts are initiated earlier. Downshifts occur for small decelerations, even at higher engine speeds.
