Pull switch. The light indicator comes on.

Rear fog light
In the low beam position, pull the switch. The light indicator lights up.

  1. If the vehicle key is removed and the door is opened while the lights are on, an audible signal (gong) warns of possible battery discharge.
In some countries, differences are possible due to legal requirements.
  2. The vehicle exterior lights can mist up due to temperature and humidity. This misting will dry off after a sufficient distance has been driven.

Low beam/driving lights

If the light switch is set to the position, the low beam is automatically switched on in the following situations:

  1. Dusk
  2. Darkness
  3. Driving through tunnels
  4. Rain
  5. Freeway driving (on vehicles with Porsche Dynamic Light System PDLS)

When the low beam is switched on, the light indicator on the speedometer lights up.

Fog is not automatically detected.

  • In the event of fog, switch on driving lights manually.

Freeway function in daylight
The driving lights are activated at driving speeds of more than approx. 85 mph (140 km/h) in daylight when the daytime running lights are deactivated. At speeds of less than approx. 40 mph (65 km/h) the driving lights are switched off after a delay of around 4 minutes, external lighting conditions permitting.

Rain function
The driving lights are switched on automatically after five seconds of continuous wiper operation. If the wipers have not been used for approx. 4 minutes, the driving lights are switched off.

Automatic driving light assistant

The automatic driving light assistant is a comfort function. The driving lights (low beams) are switched on and off automatically depending on the ambient brightness.

The automatic driving light assistant also controls the daytime running lights, the Automatic Coming Home lights, and the equipment-dependent dynamic cornering light.

Activating automatic driving light assistant:

  • Turn light switch to setting.
