Information
The driver's steering behavior is monitored when lane keeping assist is on. If there are no steering movements, a warning appears after a short time on the multifunction display. Lane keeping assist is inactive. Steering intervention on the part of the driver will re-activate lane keeping assist.

Switching on lane keeping assist

• Press button .
  The light indicator on the button lights up.
  If the vehicle inadvertently strays from the lane, it can be guided back in again by means of corrective steering intervention initiated by lane keeping assist. In addition, a warning tone sounds when the vehicle drives over a lane marking and the lane line in question turns orange on the multifunction display in the instrument panel.

Switching off lane keeping assist

• Press button again.
  The light indicator on the button goes out.
  The driver is not warned if he strays from the lane.

Vehicles with adaptive cruise control (ACC):
The "ACC" main menu (A) shows the lane markings (B). If the "ACC" main menu is not selected, they are shown on the status display (C).
