Fuses
Electrical shock
Replacing fuses or relays with the engine running or the ignition on could cause electrical shock.
Short-circuit
Working on the vehicle’s electrical system can cause a short-circuit. The short circuit can cause a fire.
Improper intervention and incorrect accessories
Improper intervention in the fuse box and the use of the incorrect accessories can result in damage and malfunctions in electrical and electronic systems.
Relay
Only have the relay checked and replaced by an authorized Porsche dealer.
Checking and replacing fuses
To prevent short-circuits and overloading of the electrical system, the individual circuits are protected by fuses. One fuse box can be found at the right-hand side of the trunk in direction of travel. Two additional fuse boxes are located at the outer ends of the dashboard on the driver's and passenger's side.
The plastic gripper and spare fuses can be found in both fuse box covers at the outer ends of the dashboard on the driver's and passenger's side.
